What is the course?
This is a Certificate IV in Ministry and Discipleship, a nationally accredited VET qualification studied almost completely online over a two year period.
Is Bible College for me?
It is aimed at people who have been part of Life Church for at least a year, attended Next Steps and regularly serve on a team. Students are encouraged to speak with their pastors/leaders before applying.
The course is designed to deepen understanding of God and Scripture, strengthen faith and character, develop leadership skills, equip students to serve both in church and the marketplace, and help them discover and fulfil their God-given purpose.
Is there a minimum education requirement?
No previous educational qualification is required. Students need competent English reading, writing and speaking skills, and a computer/laptop because the course is delivered and assessed in English. Parental/Guardian permission required for under 18 years of age. Not offered to international students.
What does the study component look like?
This full course consists of eight subjects with online classes and assessment that requires completion in order to pass. The recommended study commitment is approximately 6–10 hours per week, depending on the student's study skills. This includes online lectures, readings and assessments. Students normally complete one class per school term, taking approximately two years. Breaks between terms are possible.
Finally, all students will be placed in a church- based voluntary role (if not already serving on a team) to gain practical experience in ministry.

What kind of assessments will I need to complete?
The assessments in this course are as practical and close to real-world ministry as possible. This means students are assessed on their ability to effectively complete ministry tasks. At times, this will include some research and writing, but only as related to real ministry practice. Quizzes may be used in some units as supplementary assessments to ensure students have retained the required knowledge.
How much does it cost?
Life Church College students receive a 50% discount through the church's partnership with Alphacrucis. Once you have completed an expression of interest, our Bible College Liaison officer will be in touch with more information regarding fees. FEE-HELP is not available.
What else should I consider?
Success in the course is connected to consistent involvement in the local church. Some assessments require students to serve on teams, engage with church leaders as mentors, or work face-to-face with others. Regular church attendance, serving and having a support network are therefore important parts of the study experience.
How do I apply?
There are intakes in Term 1 and Term 3 each year. Applications are generally due in early January and early July, with classes beginning in late January and late July. Applicants submit an enquiry through the website and someone will contact you with more information.
